What i have contributed in this piece of music video for this week is to just film at the locations we have chosen to do in the half term because I have the job role of being the camera man and editing management. We had filmed at most of our locations but the party shots was hard to film because of the lighting in the music video which was quiet hard to do. 

This all fits in with the production schedule but it was hard because of the casts being available for the music video but we had pulled it off so it was all good. The overall idea of the filming the music video was to just have all the shots and scene of the ones that we have planned to film in the half term which involves my job which is being the camera man and editing management. 

There were some problems like it was very difficult to get hold of some of the cast members and plus having some of the cast member not being availble for the filming dates. Then my partner and i had to reschedule the days when we would have to film and we managed to do so when it came to the filming we had filmed most of the shots and shots we needed. 

The plans for the following week are to just edit the filming we have to and film the shots and scenes we need for the music video which is the green screen. The green screen scene we have got permission to use and all it is we need to do is to get the cast members to be free all week to let them know that we will need them when we film the shot during one part of that week.

This week I have given all the work in that was set last week by my teacher Mr Clarke, like locations, job roles, permission of cast members if they can be in my music video and risk assessment which is about the health and safety sheet which we would try and be careful of. Also I and Halil had to start making a filing script which is based on what will happen in each shot well as each scene along with the filming that we will have to do over the half term.

 All the work will come together by the work that my partner and i had to finish and give in the work our teacher gave us for a plan of the music video, they wore the job roles, risk assessment sheet, location, cast waives and call sheet. After it had fit with our production schedule because after giving in the work plus the filming script we also had to do, now all we had to do is just to film the music video at each location and enjoy the fun of it. My job role in this music video is camera man and editing management which means i will mainly do the all the filming and most of the editing because I have more experience than Halil in the media subject.

There wasn't any problems for me getting the first pieces of work in and for the second one was good as well because all the work and filming script had to be finished on Friday which was alright for my partner and I cause we had done some of the work already so all it was to finish it which we did. 

 My plans for the following week is to just get the filming done on the days we have plan and hope nothing goes wrong or have any problems when it comes to filming the music video. The locations we have chosen to film in was basement shisha lounge, rendezvous and at Halil’s house, plus we have also planned to use a green screen which would be good because you would just see Halil and girls dancing on a plain white back ground.

Jobs role and Responsibilities

Jobs role and Responsibilities  

The job roles I will take is Camera operator and editor this because Halil will take the part of becoming the actor plus the director and production manager and me to film it because I have more experience in filming and I have more knowledge in camera shots and angles.

Camera operator and editor will be my strongest point of responsibilities because I had take media in GCSE and have more knowledge than Halil were as he has only taken media in a level which is now. My roles will be to film the footage that we will film when it comes to the production then post production I will still be responsible for the editing because that’s part of my job role.

Halil’s job role is director and production manager, his role involves directing what will happen in the music video and how he would want it to look like plus he would have control over how he would want the actors to do in our music video. Halil would also be in the music video as he is the main actor there performing. The other crew members will have some role in this and they would be roles like being responsible for lighting, the makeup and the sound.

Here I’ve got permission from raja that works at the basement shisha lounge to film a few shots that will be in my music video. I have known the workers at the basement lounge for a long time since they have been open, so it wasn’t so hard to get easy access to the location that would really help us to make a good music video. The other location we need permission off is to film at Monay’s party my partner and I have already asked her if we can film on the day of the party for our media project that we are working on and she has confirmed with me and the actors in our crew.

The locations me and Halil have chosen to be in our music video is good because of the genre, style of music video and the also how it will look visually to audience, we think its suitable for our music video. The basement shisha lounge will be shown to us in the beginning of the music video as the actors meet at the lounge to get ready to go to a party. In the first few shots i will be showing how the location relates to the actors plus you will see a lot of good techniques in the camera angles because it would look more interesting than just having normal boring shots. The other locations and background we will have is green screen this is because during in the chorus we will have flashing scenes of girls just dancing by shaking and wining on Halil who is one of the actors in the music video. Here is would use a lot of close ups and mid shots to see the emotions and feeling that the song will give affect altogether. The other main location we will use is when we film at Monay’s party which we have already got permission off during the mid way point of the song. The location for this venue is old gradies nearby to chadwell heath which is good thing because it wouldn’t be hard for all the actors to get too, but the location is really good for our music video because it is a big venue and when it comes to filming on the day of the party the type of camera angles and techniques used will make the music video very powerful and interesting for the audience which helps them see the story in the music video.
